Activation protocol / BTE-ACTIVATE

Install the tool. Connect the account. Start testing.

Follow the five checkpoints below. Each one removes a common setup problem before you reach the first backtest.

  1. Checkpoint 01 / Purchase

    Choose a license

    Select a plan from the MT4 backtesting software pricing page. Use the same email at checkout that you will enter during activation.

  2. Checkpoint 02 / Install

    Put BackTestEase in MT4

    and run the setup file. Select MetaTrader 4 when prompted.

  3. Checkpoint 03 / Load

    Open the chart and panel

    Open MT4, choose a chart, press CTRL + N, and locate BackTestEase under Expert Advisors. Drag it onto the chart.

  4. Checkpoint 04 / Verify

    Enter the purchase email

    When the activation prompt appears, enter the email used for the license purchase. The email and MT4 account number must match the order.

  5. Checkpoint 05 / WebRequest

    Allow the license check

    In MT4, open Tools → Options → Expert Advisors, enable "Allow WebRequest for listed URLs," and add https://backtestease.com. Then click OK and retry activation.

If activation still fails

Confirm the platform is MetaTrader 4, the account number is correct, the purchase email matches, and WebRequest is enabled. Contact support with the exact error message.
